Shingle Roofs
Shingles add beauty and depth to your home – plus they offer quality, durability and protection.
Shingle roofing can also offfer a wide range of striking dimensional styles and colors to complement any home's architecture. Plus, the strength that any shingle offered by Austin 360 Roofing has come to be known for.
Shingle roofing can also be the most cost effective. |
Tile Roofs
One of the most beautiful improvements you could make to your home is adding a tile roof. They don't only provide extrodinary beauty but this will probably be the last roof you will ever have to install.
Roofing tiles can be ceramic (e.g., clay fired at a high temperature) or fabricated from cement concrete. Some of the lighter types use fibers (e.g., cellulose) dded for strength. The color of a tile may be dispersed throughout, or it may be applied in the form of a coating. Perhaps the most venerable type of roof tile is the Spanish style red barrel tile made from fired clay.
The modern version of this tile is sometimes a cement tile with a suitable coating In either case, the red color is due to the ubiquitous iron oxide material, hematite.
Advantages of tile include fire safety, as they are non-combustible, and durability.
Disadvantages include increased weight and cost compared with low-cost asphalt shingle roofs. |
Metal Roofs
Metal roofs are becoming the most popular type of roofing systems on the market. Today metal roofs are highly durable, lightweight and fire-resistant.
These roof materials are made primarily from aluminum and steel—but other materials such as copper and alloys are also used. Some sheet-style materials—notably “standing seam roofing”—have a decidedly commercial look that is favored by architects for the clean, contemporary appearance.
Properly installed, a metal roof should last as long as the house, completely sealing ut water, surviving high winds, and easily shedding snow. Metal is resistant to fire, mildew, insects, and rot. Warranties vary widely, but most companies strongly back their products for 20 to 50 years. |
Radiant Barriers
Radiant barriers are materials that are installed in buildings to reduce summer heat gain and winter heat loss, and hence to reduce building heating and cooling energy usage. The potential benefit of attic radiant barriers is primarily in reducing air-conditioning cooling loads in warm or hot climates. Radiant barriers usually consist of a thin sheet or coating of a highly reflective material, usually aluminum, applied to one or both sides of a number of substrate materials. These substrates include kraft paper, plastic films, cardboard, plywood sheathing, and air infiltration barrier material. Some products are fiber reinforced to increase the durability and ease of handling. |
Gutters
Installing gutters on your home will not only add value and style to your home, gutters will actually protect you from very costly maintenance expenses in the future. Installing Gutters can prevent foundation problems, staining of masonary and siding and damage to landscaping to name a few. |
